<div itemprop="description"><br>The family of Anne Werezak (nee Sereda) are deeply saddened to announce her peaceful passing on August 14th, 2016 at the age of 98 years at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern, SK. <br> <br>Left to mourn her loss and forever cherish her memory are her children: Jerry, his children Derek, Debbie and Amanda; James (Dianne), their children Cameron and Carrie (Gunjan); Sandra (Garry) Shepp, their children Michelle (James) Hartwich and Rob (Lynn); Bernie (Bonita), their children Ashley (Boyd) Kirk and Amber (Mike). Anne also leaves behind her seven loving great grandchildren. Also surviving Anne, are brothers: Steve, Peter (Eleanor), Paul (Inez), Alex (Edith), and sister-in-law Marion, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. <br> <br>Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband Steve and her parents John & Annie Sereda, and 5 brothers and 4 sisters. <br> <br>Anne was born on January 13, 1918 in Sniatyn-St. Julien district near Wakaw, SK. She married Steve Werezak on October 5th, 1941 and together they raised their family and farmed in the Sniatyn-St. Julien district. After Steve’s passing in 1974 she continued farming with her sons until she retired to Wakaw. Anne continued to work hard and lived independently, while doing all the things she loved. She took great passion in her gardening and her Ukrainian home cooking, which she shared generously with family and friends. Anne looked forward to family gatherings, where she took great pride in preparing meals and ensured no one left hungry or empty handed. Anne cherished her many friendships, and upon moving into the Millsite, she enjoyed the social gatherings and activities, especially playing cards and bingo. She also enjoyed her outings to Prince Albert and Saskatoon, and especially her trips to Nanaimo, BC to visit her daughter and family. Anne’s loving and generous spirit will be greatly missed by all. Anne resided at the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home after suffering a stroke in April 2015. <br> <br>The family wishes to thank all the staff for the excellent compassionate care they provided. <br> <br>The Prayer Service will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon on Friday August 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service, celebrating Anne’s life will be held at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St Mary the Protectress, St. Julien, SK, on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Rev. Fr. Patrick Powalinsky, Very Rev. Fr. Bohdan Demczuk and Very Rev. Fr. Taras Markowasky. Interment will follow in St. Julien Orthodox Cemetery. <br> <br>Memorial donations may be made to the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home. <br> <br>To offer condolences and share memories, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries”.
