<div itemprop="description"> <p> <b> DARYL CECIL BRAYFORD </b> </p> <p> <b> October 26, 1922&nbsp; -&nbsp; October 16, 2012 </b> </p> <p> Daryl passed away on the morning of Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Sherbrooke Veterans Village in Saskatoon. </p> <p> He was predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Samuel; and siblings, Blanche, Hazel and Mel. </p> <p> He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his two sons, Barry (Lorraine) and Kirk; Barbara&rsquo;s children, Doug Rea, Bill Rea (Lesley), Shannon Gartner (Pius), Sheila Colborn (Morley) and Patrick Rea (Ruby); and 8 grandchildren, Terry, Michael, Kirsten, Molly, Christopher, Andrew, Kailee and Sadie. </p> <p> Daryl was born in Halbrite, SK and raised in Kelvington, SK. In his early years the Brayford family owned and operated the marina and dance hall at Waskesiu Lake. This was the beginning of his lifelong love of outdoor activities, in particular, fishing and hunting. </p> <p> When World War II started, Daryl was anxious to do his part so he joined the Air Force and became a pilot. He was later hired by the Air Commonwealth as a pilot in the training of navigators. After the war Daryl returned to the family business and eventually became an Air Ambulance pilot where he worked until his retirement in 1978. </p> <p> The family would like to thank the staff at Sherbrooke Veterans Village for their wonderful care of Daryl. </p> <p> He will be sincerely missed by his family and friends. </p> <p> A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK. </p> <p> Donations in Daryl&rsquo;s memory can be made to Sherbrooke Foundation Inc. for the Veterans Village, 401 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 2E7. </p> <p> To send online condolences to the family, visit www.parkfuneral.ca &ldquo;Obituaries &amp; Tributes&rdquo;. </p> <p> Arrangements entrusted to Greg Lalach, <b> PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 306.244.2103 </b> . </p> </div>
