<div itemprop="description">Doris Jen<br />August 6, 1929 &ndash; December 22, 2014<br /><br />It is with hearts full of love and profound sadness that the family of Doris announce her gentle passing at St. Paul&rsquo;s Hospital. <br /><br />Doris will be lovingly remembered by her children: Rosanna (John) Parry, Eva (Jim) Wong, Ross (Pia) Jen, Edna (Lorne) Warrington, Randy Jen and Ronda (Richard) Chiasson; 15 grandchildren: Esther (Kevin) Waddell; Ann Parry (Riley Hall); Jason (Felicia), Kevin and Eric Wong; Scott (Candice)Williams and Heather (Shannon) Warner; Geoffrey and Lauren Warrington; Jeremy and Kayla Hrudka; Brooke and Gates Jen and Mathieu and Jasmine Chiasson, and 1 great-grandson (Alexander Wong), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. <br /><br />Doris was predeceased by her parents, her husband Wesley in 1996, her son Edward in 1999 and her brother Kam Sheck in 2013. <br /><br />Doris (Kam Sheung Chan) was born in Canton, China in 1929. She was beautiful, intelligent and poised. Mom and Dad married when they were 18. Dad came to Canada in 1954 and Mom joined him in 1960 with their first 4 children. They had 3 more children after they were re-united. Mom and Dad operated Jan&rsquo;s Caf&eacute; in Ponteix until 1986, when they retired to Saskatoon. <br /><br />Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Park Funeral Chapel at 311 Third Avenue North from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Mom&rsquo;s life will be held at Third Avenue United Church on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. <br /><br />We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Palisades, where Mom resided, and to the staff at St. Paul&rsquo;s, City and Royal University Hospital for the wonderful care she received. We would like to acknowledge our great-uncle, Dr. Ivan Jen, and his wife, Dr. Suzanne Yip for their unwavering devotion to Mom, to Mireille and Wey Lee for their love and care , and to Rev.
