Scott; mother and father-in-law, Martina and Martin Materi; and brothers in-law, Guy Materi, and Dale Edighoffer.

Dot was born in Langdon, North Dakota and raised by her loving Aunt in Oklahoma. After high school she attended hair dressing school and eventually met and later married her beloved Rawleigh. They moved to Saskatoon where they lived and raised their family. Dot was a kind hearted woman who enjoyed sharing her sense of humor, infectious laugh and daily quotes and pictures on Facebook with everyone. Dot was very vocal about the love and pride she had for her children, grandchildren and her beloved pet and companion Missy, telling anyone who would listen of their activities and accomplishments. Her children cherish the qualities they share with their mom, including sense of humor, talking to strangers, making them laugh and lending a helping hand whenever possible.

Some of Dot’s happiest years during her career were spent managing the Kresge’s cafeteria and working in lawn and garden Walmart. She made many dear friends, some of which remained until her final days. Dot took great pride working in her gardens and with plants and flowers. They brought her a great sense of pride and accomplishment. We hope that whenever you smell fresh flowers, if only for a moment that you smile and think of her fondly.

Vigil of Prayer will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Steve Morrisey at 10:30 a.m. Both will be held at St. John Bosco Parish 1202 Avenue O, South, Saskatoon. Rite of Committal will be held immediately following service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the many nurses from the Observation area and the Flex care unit at St. Paul’s Hospital that provided exceptional care and respect for our mother. Your kindness and attentiveness will forever be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation in Dot’s name.

To share memories and condolences, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries-Contribute”.
