It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our devoted wife, mother and grandma. Gladys passed away peacefully at Good Shepherd Villas in Prince Albert with family by her side.

She leaves behind one daughter, Wendy (Jerry) and one son, Randy (Colleen) and two grandsons; Riley and Kyle (Christine). She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Herb and her daughter Colleen as well as her parents, nine sisters and three brothers.

Gladys was born the 13th child of John and Nellie Stevenson on the farm at Drake, Saskatchewan. In her early teen years she moved to Saskatoon where she finished her schooling and began working for Palm Dairies. While living in Saskatoon she met Herbert Zielke. They married in 1954 and together they raised three children. She was a stay-at-home Mom whose devotion to her family was absolute. Together, Gladys and Herb enjoyed square dancing, bowling and curling. They were also avid travelers and travelled around Canada and the USA and spent as much time fishing and camping in Northern Saskatchewan as time and health would allow. They both spent countless hours watching their kids play numerous sports and Gladys was able to extend that love to her grandsons’ sports as well. She was an enthusiastic fan and you could always hear her in the bleachers. She will definitely be deeply missed and remembered by all that loved her and shared her life.

Please make donations in memory of Gladys to the Saskatchewan Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The Funeral Service will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens to follow.

To share condolences and memories, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries”.
Arrangements entrusted to Derryl Hildebrandt, PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 306 244.2103.
