John J. Sielski
February 13, 1927 – February 22, 2017
John of Saskatoon and formerly of Prud’homme passed away a few days after celebrating his 90th birthday.
John operated his own trucking business. Later in the 50’s he took over his dad’s garage going on to acquire a Cockshutt/White Farm Equipment dealership. Retiring in 1992, John never slowed down. Till he was 90, John took pride in what he did including maintaining his home (especially shovelling his driveway) and caring for Emily, his wife of 66 years.
John is survived by his wife, Emily (Matieshin); son, Ken (Harriet); daughter, Sharon; four grandchildren, Lori (Rob), Trevor, Tyler (Miranda), and Jim; and sister, Stella.
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Olga; and brother, Nick.
Prayers will be held at Park Funeral Home, 311 Third Avenue North Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. and the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the St. John the Evangelist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Prud’homme, SK.
