<div itemprop="description">Leona Elizabeth Wilson <br>August 20, 1936 – January 26, 2017 <br> <br>Leona, born in Rosthern, SK resided in Saskatoon, passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the age of 80 years. <br> <br>Leona is survived by her children, Roger (Tammy), and Linda Fraese (Robert); grandchildren, Matthew, Paul, Jesse, Britoni (Derek), and Georges-Etienne; great-grandchildren, Keneisha and Shondra, Jocelyn and Rachelle, Jason, Thea and Adelynn, Anthony, Jesse and Sandra; great-great-grandchild, Adian; siblings, George Froese, Henry Froese, Jack Froese, Alice Storebo, and Alma Froese. <br> <br>She was predeceased by her loving husband, William; daughter, Judy Wilson; parents, Catherine and John Froese; and her three siblings, Elsie Froese, June Froese, and Stella Roberts. <br> <br>Leona lived in Rosthern until 1953 and moved to Saskatoon where she lived until her passing. When she moved to Saskatoon she worked as a housekeeper until she met and married her husband Bill in 1960. She continued working as a housekeeper/cleaner until her retirement. <br> <br>She was blessed with 3 children Linda, Judy and Roger. Leona treasured her children and all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with the little ones. <br> <br>Leona loved animals, especially horses. In her younger years she enjoyed riding but after moving to the city she became an avid horse racing fan and she could be found most weekends at Marquis Downs. She enjoyed the track with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. <br> <br>Memorial donations in Leona’s name can be made to the Saskatoon SPCA, 5028 Clarence Avenue South, Grasswood, SK S7T 1A7. <br> <br>A Memorial Luncheon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the Arbor Reception Room at Park Funeral Home, 311 Third Avenue North.
