<div itemprop="description"><br /><br />Margaret Rose Raina (nee Lackmanec)<br /><br />Our family is sad to announce the passing of Margaret Raina at St. Paul&rsquo;s Hospital on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the age of 92 years. <br /><br />Margaret is survived by her children: Mavis (Jerry) Coben, Saskatoon; Vicky Tildsley (Mike Kracher), Saskatoon; and Peter (Leslie) Raina, Calgary; four grandchildren: Kathryn Coben, Christopher Coben, Patrick Raina, and Shannon Raina; six sisters: Donna Glute, Toronto; Lillian Lackmanec, Cecile Lachmanec, Elizabeth Lachmanec all of Saskatoon; Irene (Peter) Kobylka, Yorkton; Adel (Paul) Kovacs, Los Angeles; three brothers: Mike Lackmanec, Yorkton; Dan (Vicki) Lackmanec, Calgary; Joe Lackmanec, Springside; sisters-in-law Natalie Federko and Winnie Chappel and many nieces and nephews. <br /><br />Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Mary; her husband Paul in 1998; her brother John; and her sisters Ann Neudorf, Pauline Spelay, Kay Panchuk, and Olga Lachmanec, and son-in-law Vince Tildsley.<br /><br />Margaret was born and raised on the family farm near Whitesand, SK. She married Paul in October 1950. They raised their three children in Yorkton before being transferred to Saskatoon in 1970. She worked at Extendicare, where she met many life-long friends. Margaret was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish and especially enjoyed socializing at the perogy making bees. She was a long time member of the UCWLC, and was very proud to be receiving her 60th anniversary pin this year. After Paul passed away, Margaret spent many years living at Columbian Manor, where she loved going downstairs to play cards in the evenings and visiting with all the friends she made there. <br /><br />Margaret was an awesome cook, she was very social and loving having company. In her later years, due to her limited mobility, Margaret moved into a Quality Care Home, where she kept in phone contact with her friends. She enjoyed knitting and watching game shows and curling on TV. She looked forward to her weekly visit with her Communion Minister, Archdeacon Ray Lalach. <br /><br />Margaret was a devoted mother, and dearly loved her grandchildren. She will be missed beyond measure. <br /><br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Paul&rsquo;s Hospital Foundation. <br /><br />Prayers for Margaret will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Park Funeral Chapel (311 3rd Avenue North). Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church (10th Street and Munroe Avenue) with Rev. Fr.
