<div itemprop="description">Michael Dubyk<br>November 17, 1932 – September 22, 2016<br><br>It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Michael, age 83 at the family farm – the place he loved best.<br><br>Mike will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 63 years Jean; and children Darlene (Darwin), Cheryl, Rob (Carla) and grand-daughter Lesia. He is lovingly remembered by sister Elsie Wozniak, sister-in-law Carol Kramchynski (Lawrence) and numerous nieces, nephews and god-children, as well as many friends and neighbours.<br><br>Mike was predeceased by parents Bill and Kay; in-laws Fred and Mary Mylymok; sons-in-law Andrew and David and brother-in-law Eugene Wozniak.<br><br>Mike first farmed with his parents in the Alvena district and in 1964 Dubyk Farms joined the Rosetown farming community where he developed many friendships over 52 years. Like most prairie farmers, one career isn’t enough. He worked at Eaton’s, operated a trucking business and played in a band.<br><br>Music was a big part of his life. Mike played many instruments, but he was best known for playing the accordion. <br><br>He and Jean enjoyed numerous vacations with their children and friends. Many miles were logged in campers and motor homes.<br><br>The family thanks the medical professionals who treated him over the years, and for the compassionate efforts of Rosetown Paramedics and the RCMP. <br><br>The Funeral Service will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. André Lalach officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens will follow.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan and/or the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.<br><br>To share condolences and memories, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries”.
