Ricardo Eusebio San Miguel
August 23, 1953 - December 20, 2016

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rick San Miguel, an incredibly wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Surrounded by family and friends, Rick passed away peacefully in the arms of his devoted wife Protacia.

Rick was born in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. He was the sixth out of twelve children. In 1972, he moved to Winnipeg, MB, before settling down in Saskatoon, SK in 1979. Here he made many friends, where they would spend summers nights on camping and fishing trips. He quite loved being outside, whether it was gardening, biking or catching up with friends over coffee. If he couldn't be outside, you could find Rick shopping, likely in the music aisle or buying treats for his grandkids. Rick's friends were his family, just as his family were his friends. We could always count on him no matter what time of day. We will remember him as a humble man with an easy going nature. Above all, Rick was compassionate and generous, known for his honesty and belief to always do the right thing.

Rick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Protacia, children Richelle (Celso) Michael (Melma), Hazel (Aivan) and grandchildren Hendrix, Alita, Georgette, Aiva and Jasmine.

He will be missed by his brothers Roger (Lily), Paul, Conrado (Aida), Noel (Rose), Jhun (Carol), Albert, Romeo (Bessie) and many nephews and nieces who loved and respected him.

Rick will be welcomed into heaven by his parents Eliseo and Consolacion, and siblings Richard, Julieta, Corazon and Linda.

Rick will be sadly missed by the many people who knew him. As we grieve his loss, we will forever hold his spirit in our hearts.

Public viewing will be on Wednesday, December 28th and Thursday, December 29th at Park Funeral Home (311 3rd Ave N) from 6 pm to 12 am (midnight), with the Prayer Vigil/Life Celebration at 7 pm on Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 30th at 10:30 am at St. Patrick's Parish (3339 Centennial Dr.). Rite of Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

To share memories and condolences, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries-Contribute”.
