<div itemprop="description">ANNA OLINECK <br /> <br />It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Olineck announce her passing on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Extendicare, Saskatoon, SK. <br /> <br />Anna was born on June 30, 1921 in Wroxton, SK to Mary (Lesanko) and Nick Husack. She attended Loyal School west of Wroxton. After leaving school she helped out at the family farm. She also attended hairdressing school in Yorkton. She moved to Calder in 1940. For a short time she also worked in Flin Flon, Manitoba. She was an honorary lifetime member of the Ukrainian Women&rsquo;s Association of Canada. In the 1990&rsquo;s she retired to Winfield and later Kelowna, BC until suffering a stroke in 1998 when she moved back to Saskatoon in January 1999 where she made her home at Extendicare Nursing Home until the present time. Mom (Baba) was an accomplished seamstress and crafter. She was well known for her exceptional culinary talents and most especially her perogies. No one left Anna&rsquo;s home without a full tummy usually with an assortment of Ukrainian cooking and delicious baking. <br /> <br />She is survived by her children: daughter Gloria (Martin) Zip, Victoria, BC and their children: Andrij (Shinobu) Zip, Saskatoon and Matthew (Talia) Zip, Saskatoon; daughter Ila (John) Woroniuk, Saskatoon and their children: Amanda Woroniuk, Saskatoon and Aaron Woroniuk (Kyla MacArthur), Dawson City, Yukon; and daughter Sherry Pister, Saskatoon and her children; Kyle Pister, Ft. McMurray, AB and Tyson Pister (Stephanie Taylor), Saskatoon and was known as &ldquo;Super Baba&rdquo; to her great grandchildren; Shawn, Miya, Cahli, Connor and Faryn Zip. As well she leaves to mourn her passing her brother Peter (Marie) Husak, Yorkton, three nephews, Terry, Wade and Glenn Husack and their families as well as the extended Olineck family. <br /> <br />She was predeceased by her parents, her husband William, her brother William Husack and her nephew Dale Husack. <br /> <br />The family extends sincere appreciation to the staff at Extendicare Nursing Home for all the compassionate and dedicated care given by the wonderful staff over the past 16 years. <br /> <br />The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th St, first right past Briargate Rd), officiated by Very Rev. Archpriest Peter Wasylenko.
