Anne Gniazdowski
May 15, 1923 – September 20, 2016

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our wonderful Mother – Anne Gniazdowski. Anne passed away at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on Tuesday, 20 September 2016.

She was surrounded by her daughters: Betty (Gniazdowski ) Weitz from Boise, Idaho and Beverly Gniazdowski of Trail, British Columbia.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; parents, Sylvester and Paraska Shebelski; brothers, Peter and John; sisters, Helen and Mary; granddaughter, Leah (Beverly).

Anne was born on 15 May 1923 in Prud’homme, SK and moved to Peterson when she married Peter Gniazdowski in 1949. They farmed for about 20 years and then moved to Saskatoon where Anne began a 46 year career as a seamstress and a clerk specializing in selling Fabric. She was an amazing woman who had friends in all walks of life regardless of wealth, stature or age. If you met her, you most likely became her friend. She was a hard worker – whether this meant plowing the field, milking cows, spending long hours sewing someone’s wedding gown, making perogies for her favorite son-in-law Kurt ( Betty ) or caring for her daughter’s 125 pound Rottweiler Louie.

In keeping with Anne’s wishes there will be a very private ceremony for family and friends. Please keep your memories of her alive – she will live on through them. Please sign the guest book so that her daughters can communicate with you to personally thank you for your friendship.

To share condolences and memories, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries”.
