<div itemprop="description">Betty Anne Butler (McClure) nee Cassell<br>October 6, 1936 – October 10, 2016<br><br>Betty passed away peacefully at St. Paul`s Hospital on Monday, October 10, 2016 four days after her 80th Birthday. <br><br>She was dearly loved and remembered by her daughters, Glenna (John) Fingler and Cindy (Greg) Krawchuk; her grandchildren, Jenna and Jared (Shelby) Fingler; her step daughters, Susan Yantz and Tammy Butler; step grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Shayla and Matthew; her sisters, Isobel Wilson, Ena Cassell, Marie McDonald and Allie (Jack) Lange; sister in law, Hilda Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. <br><br>She was predeceased by her husband, Glen McClure in 1981 and her husband, Bill Butler in 2005; her parents, Russell and Agnes Cassell; her brother, Doug Cassell; and her sisters, Merle Boulton and Doreen Peterson. <br><br>Betty was born in Elkhorn, Manitoba on October 6, 1936. She met Glen McClure and moved to Saskatoon to marry in February 1954 and then started their family a year later. Betty worked at The Saskatoon Co-op which she retired from after 36 years service. In her early years she enjoyed dancing, having sing-a-longs, watching many ball games following the Baldwinettes Ball Team, and entertaining many friends and family in their home. <br><br>After Glen`s passing she was lucky to meet and marry Bill in 1992. They spent their leisure time hooking rugs, meeting up with their friends at the Army and Navy Club, and travelling to Phoenix in the winter. After Bill passed away she spent many hours watching curling, cheering on the Riders and Hilltops and knitting. <br><br>The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Hillcrest Funeral Home, (East on 8th Street, first right past Briargate Road) followed by interment of Betty`s ashes in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. <br><br>A special thank you to Simona and all her caring staff at Simona`s Care Home and also the palliative doctors and nurses at home and in the hospital. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. <br><br>To share memories and condolences, visit, www.parkfuneral.ca ``Obituaries`.
