<div itemprop="description">DANIEL FLOYD STOTT<br>May 14, 1933 – February 19, 2017<br><br>Dan was born in Cardston, Alberta to Bud and Nora Stott. The only son with four sisters. He had a very happy childhood on the farm in Woolford, Alberta. <br><br>Dan met his wife Betty in Cardston. They spent many happy years living in Spring Coulee, Alberta while Dan worked with the PFRA on a dam that was being built. It was a community of young couples and they formed many lifelong friendships as they raised their families. That is where Dan discovered his love of water skiing. <br><br>In 1962 he was transferred to Saskatoon. In 1967 he began working for the University of Saskatchewan as a lab technician with the department of Engineering. He loved his job, working with both the professors and students. <br><br>Following his retirement in 1996 he was able to devote more time to his yard and garden. He enjoyed working in the garden and spent many happy hours out on the deck. <br><br>He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different callings. He was always happy to give of his time and talents to help others. Unfortunately, he had some health issues including losing most of his vision ten years ago. But he was still able to faithfully listen to every Rider game on the radio! <br><br>He leaves behind his wife, Betty; his son Doug (Jan), and daughters Leslie (Ron) and Becky as well as seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. <br><br>Predeceased by his parents, and sisters Fay and Gerry. <br><br>A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 24th at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 10th Street East and Cumberland Avenue. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). <br><br>To share condolences and memories, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries-Contribute”.
