<div itemprop="description">Doreen Marjorie James was born in Saskatoon July 6, 1926 and died March 24, 2015 at St. Paul&rsquo;s Hospital in Saskatoon with friends with her. <br /><br />She is survived by her nieces Susan Hawkins of Chatham, ON, Marilyn James of Burnaby, BC and a nephew Stephen James of Dundas, ON. <br /><br />She was predeceased by her parents Lorne James and Dorothy Haugen and her brother Keith James. <br /><br />As a child Marjorie moved with her parents to a number of locations in western Canada finally residing in Toronto where she completed her schooling. She began work in a music store cataloguing sheet music later going into secretarial work with the Evangelical Lutheran Church. In Saskatoon she also worked at O&rsquo;Keefe&rsquo;s Brewery and its successors. Marjorie was active in the Knox United Church Choir for many years where she was a well-liked and respected participant and acted as its Librarian. In her leisure time she was a frequent movie goer, did needle point and knitting. She took great pride in her volunteer work at the University Hospital in the Pediatric section. She travelled to visit her brother Keith James and his family in Ontario but also visited Europe, The Holy Land, Australia and New Zealand. As an ardent Jays fan she also went on baseball tours. <br /><br />Her Memorial Service will be held at Knox United Church (838 Spadina Crescent East) at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 with Rev.
