<div itemprop="description">Nettie (Anastasia) Andreychuk<br>August 23, 1924 – February 15, 2017<br><br>Nettie Andreychuk passed away surrounded by her loving family at Sherbrooke Community Centre in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 92 on February 15, 2017.<br><br>Mom was born in Stetichevo, Poland and came to Canada with her family in August 1939 coming from Gdansk, Poland and landed at Pier 21, Halifax. Her family settled in the Arelee area of Saskatchewan. She met and married Michael, her beloved husband on February 1, 1941 who predeceased her on April 23, 1985. <br><br>She is also predeceased by her parents Demain and Emma, as well as sister Ruby and brother Walter. <br><br>Mom will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Raynell, and Bev (Tom) and two grandsons, Paul (Karen) and Mark (Lucy) and three great-grandchildren, Ella, Mia, and Max. She is also survived by her sisters Mary and Annie, brother Fred, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. <br><br>Mom and Dad started their married lives with their daughters in the Arelee district, then moving to a farm west of Saskatoon and very soon moving to Saskatoon. Mom worked outside the home at various jobs although her prime focus in life was her family, her home and her many friends and neighbors. Mom focused and excelled in on her many garden projects. She was known for her “famous dill pickles” and her baking skills. <br><br>She was sustained by her faith and her dedication to her church. Mom and Dad were active participants in the building of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints. As an active parishioner she joined the women’s group and contributed to much of their work in supporting the church. <br><br>In later years at the Ilarion Residence she enjoyed the friendship of many of the residents. During the past five years she was receiving excellent care and companionship at First Neighbourhood, Reminiscent Way. <br><br>The family would like to acknowledge the doctors and nurses who have supported Mom through her stay at Sherbrooke. We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to the Sherbrooke staff and the very caring and supportive caregivers to which we are very grateful. <br><br>The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints, 2616 Louise Street, with interment at the Woodlawn Orthodox Cemetery. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations made to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints in Saskatoon would be appreciated by the family.<br><br>To share condolences and memories, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries-Contribute”.
