Pauline Grosse (nee Turta)
January 28, 1922 - November 13, 2016
Pauline Grosse, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on Sunday, November 13, 2016.
She is survived by her loving son and daughters Mel, Judy, Leslee and Cheryl of Saskatoon, daughter-in-law Carol of Nanaimo, BC, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, sister Elsie, brothers Andrew (Leafa) and Donny, sister-in-law Sophie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Phillip, sons Barry and Rodney, daughter Lynne, and brother Michael.
Mom loved her family and took great joy in being with them. She had a great sense of humour and entertained us with stories of her past at family gatherings. Mom will be sadly missed. She was a hardworking, determined, independent and loving woman. She led a very active social life which included spending time with wonderful friends, being involved with CNRA Ladies Auxiliary, bowling league, Pension Association, the Widow’s Group and the Century Club.
Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to mom’s neighbours Joyce Coates and Dick and Gerry Fior for all the help and caring they provided while mom was in her home. We would also like to thank the staff in ICU at Royal University Hospital for the care they provided to mom.
A Memorial Service will be held at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 3rd Ave N, Saskatoon, on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ralph Gliege officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.
