Robert John Young
March 22, 1950 - March 4, 2016
Bob passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital on Friday, just short of his 66th birthday.
He was predeceased by his parents Art and Mary and his brother Bill.
He is survived by his sister-in-law Dianne and his nephews Greg and Troy.
Bob was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and moved to Saskatoon while in elementary school. He was a retired teacher at the time of his death, having taught in Cutknife, Perdue, and Borden. He also spent many years working part-time at the casino in Saskatoon, as a Marshall at the Willows, and driving a courtesy shuttle for Acura. He was an avid golfer, curler and Habs fan and loved watching sports of any kind. Anyone who knew Bob has “Bob stories” or “sayings” to remember him by with a smile.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel (311 - 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
