<div itemprop="description">We are saddened to announce that Walter Pidlisny, age 93 years, passed from our lives on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. <br><br>Walter was born on August 14, 1922 son of Joseph and Josephine Pidlisny in the Trojan district. He was the only son. <br><br>Walter married Zonia Oleksyn on October 15, 1946 and together they lived and farmed in the Trojan district until they retired to Saskatoon in 1991. <br><br>Walter is survived by his three sons, Morris (Glenda), Don (Val), David (Susan); eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and sister in law, Alice Maxymyshyn of White Rock, BC; and numerous nephews and nieces. <br><br>He was predeceased by his wife, Zonia of 68 years; his parents, Joseph and Josephine; his in laws; and numerous family members. <br><br>Special thank-you to the staff of Assisted Living at Ilarion and St. Paul’s Palliative Care. Memorial donations can be made to St. Paul’s Palliative Care.<br><br>Prayers for Walter will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George, 214 Avenue M South with celebrant Very Rev. Fr. Janko Kolosnjaji.
