<div itemprop="description">Wasyl “Bill” Shulhan<br>May 8, 1943 – February 5, 2017<br><br>Bill passed away at the nursing home residence on February 5, 2017 at the age of 73 years. <br><br>He is predeceased by his father Bill Shulhan; mother Donna Shulhan; brother Peter Shulhan; infant sister Pauline Shulhan; thirteen year old sister Olga Shulhan, and sister Anne Sitter. <br><br>Bill is survived by his wife Stella Shulhan; son Jeff (Amanda) Shulhan; grandchildren Kayden and Greyson; sister Mary Shulhan; brothers Ray (Joyce) Shulhan and John Shulhan; three nieces Michelle, Rhonda and Donna Shulhan; and one nephew Rick Sitter. <br><br>Bill was born in 1943 in the Guernsey district where the family farmed. He attended school in Guernsey and Lanigan. In his early years he delivered fuel, landscaped at the Dana Base and delivered for Western Grocers. He married his <br>soulmate and love of his life Stella a teacher in 1969. After thirty-five years he retired in October 2003 from his clerical position with Canada Post Government of Canada.<br><br>He enjoyed curling, playing cards, reading, fishing, camping, gardening, and he loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. Bill’s favourite season was fall. He attended his son Jeff’s hockey games, ball games, swimming lessons, soccer and gymnastics. Bill and Stella travelled in Canada, the Western USA, Mexico, and Cuba. The cruise lines took both of them to the Caribbean, China, where he climbed the Great Wall, the Mediterranean, and Alaska. He enjoyed his grandsons’ swimming lessons and playing with them, as well as their Cocker Spaniel dogs. The only gift he wanted for Christmas was a yearly calendar with photos of his grandchild/grandchildren appearing on each month. <br><br>At Bill’s request there will be a Private Family Funeral Service and a Private Family Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. <br><br>To share condolences and Memories, visit www.parkfuneral.ca “Obituaries-Contribute”.
